Poster For THE LORAX Gets In Your Face!

That's a whole lot of orange.

I totally dig this poster.  The character design (from what we can see of it) feels pretty spot on...lovable with the potential for a whole lot of grumpy.  Moreover, he looks a good fit for Danny DeVito, who'll be providing the voice for the mustachioed environmentalist.

While the recent live action adaptations of Dr. Seuss (How The Grinch Stole Christmas, The Cat In The Hat) have been...disappointing to say the least, I have all kinds of love for the recent animated take version of Horton Hears A Who.  The voice cast, featuring Jim Carrey and Steve Carrell, is outstanding and it's not only a sweet and touching take on the story, it's damn funny too.

While Blue Sky had the reigns on Horton, Illumination Entertainment, they of Despicable Me fame, is behind The Lorax.  Here's hoping they can bring the same sense of whimsy and wit (yeah alliteration!) to the latest Seussian affair.
