TWO FOR ONE TRAILERS: (War) Horsing Around With Tintin

In back to back days, we've seen trailers released for two different Spielberg movies.  Seems appropriate as the two flicks will hit theaters in the same week this December.  First up is the awards baiting War Horse:

This is based on a very well received Broadway show that wowed audiences with the creative and theatrical representation of the horse on stage.  All the footage we've seen has been pretty vague in terms of plot, which does nothing to dissuade me of the notion that this thing is basically Homeward Bound with a horse.  But it's Spielberg and there's no arguing that this trailer is visually stunning.  This is starting to feel like something I'm going to see begrudgingly but probably end up being quite fond of.

At the other end of the spectrum is the latest peek at Spielberg's mo-cap 3D animated adventure flick Tintin.

I love that, while the previous trailers seemed to be keeping the focus off of the actual people, here we're getting a better look at the characters and their faces in action.  And what great action!  That motorcycle/zipline bit?  Yes, please!  I have no relationship with the source material whatsoever, but the more I see, the more I like, and it still sort of blows my mind that we'll be getting a Peter Jackson helmed sequel not long after this.

Get ready for The Winter Of Spielberg.  It's coming.
