Shane Carruth Returns With The UPSTREAM COLOR Trailer!

Shane Carruth's Primer is nothing short of astonishing.  Easily one of the very best original sci-fi films of the last decade, (neck and neck with Duncan Jones's Moon) the mind-twisting time travel story established writer/director/star Shane Carruth as someone to watch.

Then he disappeared.

Now, after eight years MIA, Carruth is back with his long anticipated second film Upstream Color.  The film's description leaves a lot to the imagination:
"A man and a woman are drawn together, caught in the life cycle of an ageless organism.  Identity becomes an illusion as they struggle to assemble the loose fragments of wrecked lives."
If you think that's vague, check out the trailer:

(Do yourself a favor and, if possible, watch it in full HD here at Apple.  Otherwise, here's a handy embed.)

Your guess is as good as mine folks, but the damn thing looks GORGEOUS.  I'm getting a heavy experimental vibe here and I totally love it.  Carruth has engendered so much good will in me after his first time around, that I'll pretty much go see this movie no matter how bizarre it looks.

Upstream Color premieres at Sundance next month and I'm now infinitely more jealous of all my friends who are going.
