In the wake of the tragic events in Norway, sympathy for the slain attendees of the Labour Party's youth camp has been pouring in from across the globe.Glenn Beck, however, had a different thought.
"[The camp] sounds a little like, you know, the Hitler Youth or whatever. Who does a camp for kids that's all about politics? Disturbing."
Yes, that's right, he essentially just referred to murdered teenagers as Nazis-in-training.
Hyperbole and insensitivity aside, if Beck truly wants to know what kind of person would sponsor a political camp for children, he doesn't have to look very far. Seems Tea Party activists in various states including Florida, Kentucky and Colorado are all hosting "Patriot Camps" and "Liberty Schools," designed to teach children just how how awesome 'Merica really is, while eschewing dirty socialist ideas like sharing with those less fortunate.
And the kicker? These camps are all being organized by local chapters of the "9/12 Project," which was founded by WHOM? If you guessed Glenn Beck, raise your hand (palm down).
